Ash & Sara
The singular voices of Ash Bell (Starboard Cannons) and Sara Tindley combine for a seamless blend of Ash's folk/celtic balladry with Sara's folk/country rhythms to form a timeless folk/roots mini–masterpiece of tough love and deep humanity.
“Lyrically, Tindley shows shades of Paul Kelly & Tim Rogers while sticking to a Lucinda Williams-esque sound that’s about as sweet as anything that’s come out of the country for quite some time… compulsory listening for all supporters of Australian roots music”
Dan Condon, Time Off
Shelly Brown
"Shelly has one of those incredibly rare voices that reaches deep into your soul and controls you at will. Utterly captivating, dangerously powerful and honest as it comes. The best I’ve ever known."
Lloyd Spiegel; Australian Blues Guitarist. AUS
Tapestry Road
One of Tintenbar Up Front's favourite duos Tapestry Road feature lots of familiar favourites as well as compelling written originals. The harmonies are as good as you will hear and Judd's inventive finger picked guitar lends a warmth and vibrancy to the arrangements.
Croaker & the Honeybee
are often complimented on their eclectic choice of material (a mixture of jazz/blues/country, rock & pop with a Spanish-fusion twist!) The Honeybee sings in 5 languages… she’s the queen bee and a beautiful example of multi-cultural Australia! And wait until you hear The Croaker’s originals! We got Coop (the ‘Buzz’) on bass, Pat (the Phantom’) on sax, and if we put out the right summons, we might even rustle up Andrew (the ‘Judge’) on the violin!
“Their combination is compelling as is their song writing. It doesn’t matter what language Honeybee is singing in… I get it.” Flan- 1029 FM Hot Tomato
