Acid Bleed Acid Bleed : a funky 5 piece band playing gypsy swing jazz with a hot latin groove. What started off with 2 friends playing 2 songs at a friend’s birthday celebration, Acid Bleed formed in the subsequent months. The band has become a 5 piece outfit, exploring like-minded music to jam. The music form evolved into what one member calls “Pulp Jazz”. Acid Bleed plays a mix of gypsy swing, “trads”, blues and Latin improvisation. Some high energy, some sensual, and mostly fun, danceable, swayable grooves to keep you in great spirits. 10 years later, 3 gigs in Hong Kong, a few weddings, and having played in various local venues regularly, with no sign of “divorce” in sight, the band will play a concert at TUF. Special guests will be invited to join in the night. Acid Bleed (definition) : the acidic ooze leaching out of the joints of a brass instrument, usually a saxophone.
